Democrats who don't support Obama, so will vote for McCain? Spiteful?

Clinton and Obama have their differences, but the differences between McCain and the Democrats are so much greater. Surely it makes no sense to vote for McCain. Please explain your reasoning if this is the case. Is the colour of his skin a factor? Because it would seem that way.
