Does anyone know the exact whereabouts of ancient Jericho and who has done archealogical survey?

Jericho as recorded in biblical records ( Joshua) claims nothing would ever again be built on the site and none of its walls remain. Are there any other records of its life and culture or its destruction by the invader?
