I have the 15th of Dec til the 2nd of January off from work and school, I don't know what to do with myself!

I haven't had this much time off in a year. I'm in New York City and I'm from Southern California. I could just go home, but that doesn't seem too appealing. I want to travel the United States, maybe, but I don't have a whole lot of money saved up. I'm looking the usual route, hostels and couch surfing, but I'm a little apprehensive seeing as I look like young and naive. At the begginning of the month, I start back at a full time job, part time job, and full time at school, so I really want to blow out with my time off. Any suggestions?
