Time pes quickly. Once you are finished you will make it up to her and kids....and be in a better position than if you had not done that. I have so many returning students now who are much older than you, laid off from jobs due to the economic climate...they could be your mother/father. Chin up...time flies....remember you felt this way when you turn 50....and smile (college prof)
