Can you tell me what the meaning to this poem is?
it's one of those fun "there's juxtaposition in truth" kinda poems. it starts off anti-pedistal almost, with the flaws and the fears mentioned. he's hopeful and patient cause it seems he wants to find something meaningful, love. he accepts and admires that there is no perfection here, just what he would probably consider a prize but not necessarily what others would label a prize. there is fear in the woman...of being essed and loved. she has self doubt possibly even loathing and low esteem which plagues every woman eventually and it makes her uncomfortable that he doesn't seem bothered by them at all. she actually loves it and hates it at the same time. she, through him, comes into a different world where things become clearer. she sees things differently and feels differently. and it so odd, its seemingly completmentary of the new environment yet the description is cold and almost bitter so whomever the author was didn't necessarily, it seems, appreciate the act in the end. it appears that at the end she sees the relationship/experience as not necessarily bad but not what she took it for initially. i think it's kinda groovey.
